Showing me examples of work you like is very helpful in giving me a feel for what your style is.
Pinterest is god's gift to women. If there is a style you want to show me, Pinterest is definitely the place to start. HOWEVER, I am not the kind of designer that will copy examples of what you find exactly. I like to have my own spin on things, and plus that's copyright infringement anyway. If you are paying me to make something custom, then why would you want something that has already been done?
